ELLENBROOK Eels league team suffered a blow to its winning streak on Saturday with a 23-point loss against Piara Waters.

The team had a loss of experienced players over the weekend, with some away due to injuries and work commitments.

The team’s younger players had to step up, which showed the club’s willingness, depth and great skill set, but unfortunately the game got away from the team in the final quarter 13.10 (88) to 17.9 (111).

Despite the latest loss, the team is still in equal spot on the top of the ladder, with four wins and two losses. The club’s colts showed great depth in taking away a 31-point win against Brentwood Booragoon in a skilful display of running football.

The reserves and third grades both had a win against Piara Waters. The team will face Dianella Morley at home this weekend.
