The players enjoyed a round of golf, followed by lunch and prize giving, with all attendees on the day making a personal donation to the worthy cause.

Prizes were awarded for first, second and third place, the longest drive and the closest to the pin.

The event’s style stakes were further heightened with some players donning the traditional ‘awful and colourful’ trousers ” all in the name of fun and fundraising.

Chamberlain WA sales manager Stuart Bennion said the company, which manufactures Merlin garage door openers, was proud to be associated with the Cancer Council.

‘It was great to see Chamberlain customers and employees getting together to enjoy a day,’ he said.
