After qualifying at the local event earlier in the year the team, led by PGA professional Mark Tibbles and consisting of Devon Hartley, Alyssa Keir, Rachel Yagmich and Georgia Shears, held off at five other teams to grab the one spot available at the Women’s State Final .

The team will now compete for the national title against three other teams from across the country on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Tibbles said his team was thrilled to be heading to the Championship final, held from November 15-18.

‘The Scramble is always one of the most highly anticipated events on our club calendar so we are happy that we were able to play some top golf today,’ he said.

‘We can’t wait to get to the Sunshine Coast, we have heard such great things from others who have been to the Championship Final and we’re excited that 2013 is our year.’

Scramble Championship Final teams will be treated to four days of golf played in full tournament conditions and three social functions at Twin Waters Golf Club and Twin Waters Resort.

Teams also have the opportunity to play alongside one of Australia’s leading Tour Professionals after they tee off up in the Australian PGA Championship. In the past teams have played alongside the likes of Greg Norman, Bubba Watson, John Senden, Marcus Fraser and Peter Senior.
