Lako leads way for Warriors

On Wednesday July 31, the ESC Warriors got their campaign off to a flying start when they defeated Holy Cross College with both teams’ players, staff and supporters packed inside the ESC gym in spirited moods despite the torrential rain outside.

The Warriors were off to a quick start when Marcell Blackie scored inside the first five seconds with an emphatic dunk straight from tip-off to get the home crowd off their seats.

The first half consisted of evenly fought possession.

Fast breaks, strong defending, accurate shooting and several possessive passes saw the Warriors continue to display their dominance over their opponents in the second half.

Round Two today will see the Warriors away at Ellenbrook Christian College while Holy Cross College play Swan Valley Anglican.
