Medal scoop for Benara Bowmen at National Archery Championships in Whiteman Park

Archers from all over Australia visited Whiteman Park for the 70th Australian National Archery Championships this month.

More than 160 Archers from WA, New South Wales, Canberra, Tasmania, Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand attended the six-day event.

The event was attended by 19 members from the Benara Club, six of whom who represented WA in the State team.

The club claimed 12 medals overall including 10 gold and two silver.

Danie Oosthiuzen, of Yanchep, was awarded the open male compound all rounder, with four gold medals and Sue Swain received the same recognition for the women’s veteran recurve division, also taking home four gold medals.
