Held August 17 and 18 at the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, participants will be decked out in colourful costumes for a battle over 24 obstacle-filled muddy horse paddocks.

Participants will start in groups of 500 every half hour and run, jog or walk through the course completing the various obstacles.

Organiser Kellie Maren said obstacles would not be released until the week of the event, to make sure participants are surprised out on course.

‘They will start in groups of 100 and will run into the Mini Mudd Rush compound, where there will be 10 obstacles that they can go through as many times as they like. All the obstacles are similar to the Western Mudd Rush Obstacles but on a smaller scale,’ Ms Maren said.

Kids will have 40 minutes in the Mini Mudd Rush compound, and at the end they will run into the main finish area to join the adults.

‘We encourage everyone to grab a group of mates or family together and enter as a team, dress up and really make a day of it,’ Ms Maren said.

Teams can be as small as two and be unlimited in terms of a maximum number. Teams with 10 or more participants will receive a 10 per cent refund on entry fees post event.
