ORIENTEERING WA is encouraging people to attend their next event in Bindoon for something different to exercise the mind and body.

The event, next month at Spice Brook, is open to people aged from seven to 70 wanting to give it a go.

Member Helen Post said it was a great way to keep active.

“it’s a different kind of sport and we go to a different place each week,” she said.

“It tests your brain and your body, because you have to be physically fit to do the course and be mentally prepared to work out the puzzle-like course that has been set for you.”

Orienteering can be done alone or in groups and you don’t have to be a member to have a go.

The event will be held at Spice Brook, north of Bindoon, on July 2, with registration from 9am to 11am.
