Ready for champs

The Ukraine-born La Salle College student is no stranger to travel, having developed as a softball and soccer player while living in England and the USA with her parents.

Isabella also represented the State in a softball championship in Canberra last January.

As a fast-running outfielder or dynamic shortstop, Isabella said she hopes to keep impressing at the State events so she can eventually pull on the green and gold.

‘I’d like to eventually play for Australia,’ she said.

‘To do this involves not only dedication to softball and fitness but also dedication to school work because (the academy) don’t accept you if you don’t study as well.

‘All the girls are really excited.’
