MEMBERS of the South Midlands Pony Club in Muchea will represent WA at the Pony Club National Competition in Murray Bridge, South Australia, from September 29 to October 4.

Summer the pony and rider 15-year-old Tegan Court were selected to ride in the Junior Prince Philip Mounted Games Team.

Casey Booth (18) and her pony Diva were selected to ride in the Senior Prince Philip Mounted Games Team.

South Midlands member Tessa Forbes was also selected for the junior team but had to withdraw because of injury.

This will be the first time the games teams have transported their ponies to the eastern states.

Every other year they have ridden borrowed ponies.

WA will be sending 35 riders and their mounts to compete against the states and territories in either dressage, eventing, show jumping, tetrathelon or mounted games.
