Whiteman Park: WA Archery Centre to host 70th National Archery Championships

WHITEMAN Park’s WA Archery Centre will host the 70th National Archery Championships this weekend.

The event will showcase the skills of 200 archers from around Australia.

Ellenbrook resident Phil Arthur will be one of the archers competing and has recently returned from the Australian Masters Games in Tasmania, where more than 6000 people took part in about 40 sports.

Arthur represented in three disciplines including clout, field and target and brought home a silver medal for his performance in target.

The national championships will take place from November 4 to November 9.

Spectators are invited to watch competitors over the five-day competition.
