Coles has rolled out specially designed additional-needs trolleys to all of its WA stores.

They are based on a US design known as Caroline’s Cart and cater for a child of up to 70kg, with padding on the sides and a harness.

Coles operations and supply chain director Andy Coleman said they had received a positive response from customers.

“The trolley ensures that parents and carers no longer need to juggle a wheelchair and shopping basket during their shop,” he said.

The trolley is available from the customer service desk at stores in Alexander Heights, Banksia Grove, Beldon, Greenwood, Hillarys, Joondalup, Wanneroo, Warwick and Whitfords.
