Laura PondWanneroo Times

BANKSIA Grove is set to be the location of Aldi’s third northern suburbs store.

The supermarket chain has applied to the City of Wanneroo for a shop and liquor store between Coles and Jewel Way.

An Aldi spokesperson confirmed the application, which is open for public comment until July 26.

“We are currently awaiting approval for our proposed Banksia Grove store and will commence construction as soon as received,” they said.

“Aldi has an interest in the northern suburbs and recognise their potential as part of our long-term expansion plans.”

Joondalup was one of the first Aldi stores to open in WA in June and will be joined by Butler from July 20.

Land has also been earmarked for the supermarket in Currambine but Aldi said no further stores had been confirmed.
