A BEACHSIDE kiosk has started serving customers in Eglinton as developer prepares to open a playground nearby next month.

The kiosk is attached to The Amberton Beach Bar and Kitchen, which opened last year, and will serve coffee, snacks, cakes, juices, toasted sandwiches and lunches on weekends.

It is located opposite the Lighthouse Park, which will include a playground with an 8.5m tall lighthouse structure, giant slides and shipwreck.

Stockland WA’s general manager Col Dutton said the kiosk opening was a welcome addition to the beach community and would help build on the community atmosphere since the bar opened.

“Since opening the $2 million The Amberton Beach Bar and Kitchen, we have noticed Amberton Beach locals are already enjoying the atmosphere and community spirit that the venue has created,” he said.

“It has been a welcome addition to the community with the venue sitting in perfect harmony with its relaxed coastal setting offering spectacular views.

“The opening of the kiosk will only add to this and provide a relaxed dining option for those looking for a quick snack or meal in the sun.”

The kiosk at 2 Idyllic View, Eglinton will be open from 7am on Saturdays and Sundays, and extend trading hours to weekdays from March 9.
