Big birthday for DIY store

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

Joondalup was the first location for Bunnings Warehouse in WA and next month the store will move north along Joondalup Drive, from the corner of Ocean Reef Road to the junction with Sundew Rise in the Quadrangle development.

The $50 million store will employ more than 200 people and feature energy and water saving designs, such as a stormwater harvesting tank for nursery irrigation and sensor lights in the office area.

The current store’s 185 staff members will make the move, including Brenda Hampton and Tammy Gray, who have worked at the store since it opened.
