MADELEY resident Christian Simone recently opened Perth’s smallest cafe after tasting a variety of other careers.
Mr Simone discovered a love of coffee aged five when his grandmother in Italy gave him the first taste.
He moved to Perth 10 years later, where he learnt to speak English by watching Mad Max and reading the scripts.
A qualified filmmaker and film critic, Mr Simone spent years in the building industry before retreating to his love of food and coffee working for European Foods.
In August, he set up his own business, BOO Espresso, in Northbridge, which sells coffees through the ‘hole-in-a-wall’ style store.
On opening day, he sold 140 coffee.
