Research assistant Linda Hoult said the 20 bands from The Good Guys in Joondalup would allow them to monitor the physical activity levels of the participants.

"It will allow the research group to compare the difference in physical activity levels and show the association of how and what type of physical activity can assist with potentially delaying the onset of the disease," she said.

"All of those that are involved in the study are extremely grateful for this donation as this part of the study would not be possible without them."
