Former businesswoman of the year to speak about successful strategies

As Bank of Queensland’s state manager, she leads a team of more than 200 owner managers.

She won the award in the 2013 Telstra business women’s private and corporate sector category.

JBA chief executive Clive Haddow said Ms Barnes had extensive experience leading big scale retail, property finance, corporate and institutional businesses and transforming them to enhance performance.

‘During the global financial crisis, she led a major property business when property values were freefalling, and staff morale and customer engagement plunged to record lows,’ he said.
