‘Taxis were often unreliable, either not turning up or arriving late, and from Tapping it cost us around $200 to the airport,’ she said.

After talking about their own and others’ experiences, Mrs Morgan and her retired father Frans Higgins, who lives in Banksia Grove, decided to create Happy Go Lucky Tour and Charters, with the aim of providing reliable, personalised and reasonably priced transport.

‘I have started many small businesses but was looking for something more challenging and where we could get the whole family involved,’ Mrs Morgan said.

Since opening in November 2013, she said the response had been fantastic, with the business already having repeat customers.

‘We wanted to offer the community affordable transport to the airport.

‘We also cater for the needs of families in the area ” we provide baby and booster seats, as well as a luggage trailer at no additional charge,’ she said.

‘We’ve found a real hole in the market; it’s been a bit hectic but the first three months have been so incredible.’

Mrs Morgan’s wish for the whole family to be involved has been realised, with her mum Tina helping to prepare morning tea and lunches for full day tours and husband Marc acting as a back-up driver to Frans when required.
