ENTREPRENEURS can connect in a new forum in Wanneroo and Joondalup.

The Global Entrepreneurship Network has opened the Start-up Huddle in Perth, with a meeting in Wanneroo on August 30 and in Joondalup on September 5.

The sessions aim to help local entrepreneurs hone their pitch skills and discover solutions to challenges.

The morning involves one or two early-stage start-up founders giving a six-minute presentation of their companies to peers, mentors, educators and advisers.

Each presentation is followed by a 20-minute question and answer session and feedback via an audience survey.

GEN Australia acting managing director Allan Connolly said it was “not a competition to pitch against others” but an opportunity to “receive collective support to identify blind spots or highlight additional benefits”.

The free events will run from 8.45am to 10am at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre and ECU Joondalup.
