GLUTEN-free is not just an option at Kapitol Kitchen – it’s the entire menu.

The Wanneroo restaurant has a “completely gluten and refined sugar-free menu with dairy-free and vegan options”.

Having opened multiple franchises under Health Freak Cafe, Kapitol Kitchen owner Victoria Carbone said she saw a need to cater to people with dietary restrictions of all kinds, including coeliacs, vegans, people on a keto diet and others not easily found in restaurants.

Kapitol Kitchen is enjoying a successful start in Wanneroo.

She said there were many gluten-free cafes but no restaurants in WA that were fully gluten and refined sugar-free.

“Kapitol Kitchen is a safe haven for coeliacs to dine out at night and not worry about any risks of cross-contamination,” she said.

She said some of its most popular dishes included the big breakfast for sharing, the twice-cooked steak, and the vegan fish and chips.

“We’re the first place ever in WA to serve vegan fish and chips and we have received a lot of great reviews in the vegan community,” Ms Carbone said.

“A lot of our menu items are vegan-friendly, or can be easily customised for customers.”

She said the Wanneroo Road restaurant was also proud to support the local community.

“All our staff are hired locally and all ingredients sourced fresh from local farms,” she said.

“We also strongly believe in giving back to the community and have partnered with the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre to raise funds for families impacted by type 1 diabetes.”
