NOMINATIONS are open for the annual North West Metro Small Business Awards.

The Commonwealth Bank will again be a major sponsor of the Joondalup Business Association-run awards.

Association president Russell Poliwka thanked the bank for the support of the awards which, he said, showcased local business talent and provided recognition.

“We are very pleased to again support an award program that recognises and brings together the people who are the backbone of the small business community in the northern suburbs,” Commonwealth Bank Joondalup branch manager Kelly Keane said.

“Our long-term association with the Joondalup Business Association is another way in which we can connect with, and provide support to, local businesses in our area.”

“It is a great opportunity to celebrate and support the achievement and growth within the local business landscape,” association executive officer Kay Solanki said.

There are 11 award categories, including best business (fewer than 15 employees and more than 15), best new business, best educational service and best home based business.

Awards will also be given in trade services, online, retail, customer service and business services (IT, financial, legal, marketing and human resources).

The awards night will be at Westcoast BMW, Wangara, on July 29. Vote for the people’s choice award or buy tickets at www.jba.asn.au.
