As a fly-in, fly-out worker, Orsolya Bartalis saw the need to find an alternative career and found many colleagues were in the same situation.

“There are many people who enjoy the lifestyle and what it has to offer and there are people who don’t and want out but don’t know where to start,” she said.

“With the boom and mega projects coming to an end, I have seen many people being let go and getting caught out in many ways – no income, no back-up plan and in instances a large debt that was racked up over the years.”

While working away, Ms Bartalis became an accredited life coach and planned to start her own business once her contract finished.

“Personally I knew I had to get out,” she said.

“I wanted to spend more time with my children; I did not want to miss any more milestones.

“This is why I devised a plan and also suggest for others now to do so.”

She now runs Unlimited Results as a success coach, helping people discover what career they are passionate about.

“The biggest thing I find holds people back is their fear,” she said.

“Fear of failure, fear of what others might think or looking stupid are debilitating for some.

“If you break it down into small steps, however, you can work it out.”
