The Bakers Delight Kingsley owner came first for his 680g caf-style fruit bread, second for his 900g sourdough free form and third in four other classes.

After entering the Baking Association of Australia’s awards last year and coming first for his 680g white high top loaf, Mr Harvey decided to try his luck at the show this year.

‘It was my first time entering the competition, so I was very surprised,’ he said.

‘We will be displaying our trophy in store and the winning fruit bread will be available to customers.’

‘I enjoy what I do definitely, not the early mornings, but I enjoy making the product and keeping the hungry mouths of Kingsley fed,’ he said.
