Store manager Paula Trevaskis said this would be the 34th Masters store to open in Australia and only the fifth in WA.

She said the 13,500sqm Joondalup store had 35,000 products that covered a range of areas including gardening, outdoors, bathroom and kitchen, flooring, homewares, storage, hardware and tools.

She said some of the store’s biggest areas were the six aisles dedicated to paint, and a lighting section with more than 500 on display and appliances and whitegoods.

‘People don’t usually associate us with selling appliances and whitegoods,’ Mrs Trevaskis said.

She said Masters also offered a kitchen design and installation service that could be bought off the shelf or custom made, a floor installation service and key cutting.

The store also has a Trade Centre where customers can drive into the shop, load their cars and pay as they exit.

Mrs Trevaskis said the Masters Joondalup store was a $40 million investment, and employed 130 staff.
