Wanneroo Business Expo marks 20-year milestones

THE Wanneroo Business Expo will relocate to the coast this year to mark milestones for Wanneroo Business Association and the City of Wanneroo.

Both are celebrating 20th anniversaries in 2019, and plan to hold a bigger expo by relocating from Madeley to Mindarie in September.

Business liaison officer Lauren Bell said there would be 43 businesses exhibition in The Pavilion from 11am to 5pm on September 13, ranging from business services to hospitality and retail.

“Wanneroo Business Association is excited to be organising Wanneroo Business Expo 2019 in partnership with the City of Wanneroo and The Marina, Mindarie,” she said.

“With hundreds of registrations received so far, we are expecting a big event which will provide many opportunities for promotion, connections and networking for our local businesses.”

There will be free giveaways, prizes and cash prizes for people attending the free event, with a light lunch at noon and social sundowner at The Cabana from 4.30pm.

WANNEROO Business Association reached a membership milestone recently, with Rosie’s Sweets becoming the 400th member.

Business liaison officer Lauren Bell said membership had doubled in the past four years, and it was a huge milestone for the association in its 20th year.

The Alkimos bakery run by Rose Butina delivers a range of handmade cookies using butter, free-range eggs and fresh ingredients.

The mother-of-two recently launched the business full-time, catering to wholesale, private and corporate customers as well as at events such as markets.
