Wanneroo: Drovers Vet Hospital accredited as a Hospital of Excellence

Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

DROVERS Vet Hospital in Wanneroo has been recognised by the Australian Veterinary Association.

It was recently accredited as a Hospital of Excellence, making it one of only 45 veterinary hospitals across Australia to receive the accreditation.

Practice owner Wayne Shipham said the process involved 12 months of inspections “ensure our hospital operates at an exceptionally high standard”.

“This does not just include the facility but involves every aspect of what we do including treatment and diagnostic standards, record keeping, radiographic quality, equipment maintenance, staffing levels, surgical procedures and hospitalisation facilities,” Dr Shipham said.

“This means any pet owner seeking diagnostics and treatment at Drovers Vet Hospital can be ensured of the highest standard of care from the moment they enter reception, to the consult room all the way through to diagnostics, surgery and after-care.

“Our team is very excited to be acknowledged for their efforts they put in every day to maintain these standards and the fact our process only took 12 months, instead of the usual two to three years, speaks volumes for what our team considers a normal high standard.”
