Ms Hannah had practised yoga on and off for 15 years before trying the method, which combines kriyas (postures), meditations, mantras and breathing techniques.

“It felt like something I had been looking for my whole life,” she said.

She completed teacher training last year and after finding there were no other Kundalini yoga classes available in the northern suburbs, she began holding sessions in Mullaloo and Wangara through her business Whispering Souls Kundalini Yoga.

“For me, Kundalini yoga is a highly transformative and healing practice that has changed my life,” she said.

“It is a privilege to bring these ancient teachings to those who are looking for tools to help them ‘keep up’ with the pace of life or to those looking for a deeper transformational practice.”

Ms Hannah said Kundalini yoga was renowned for strengthening the nervous system and helping people cope with stresses in their life.

“It brings awareness to the person and removes the block in their mind,” she said.

The business runs six-week themed series.
