DEPICTIONS of sexuality and the body are part of Judy Rogers’ latest exhibition.

Titled Body from the Suitcase, the showcase features fragmented views of the nude or semi nudes of bodies and paintings of body parts, both female and male.

“The paintings and sculptures are reflections on personal space, domesticity, body issues, insecurities, sex, coming of age and ageing,” the Wanneroo artist said.

She said she took the exhibition to St Petersburg last year “in a case as part of her luggage so the Body from the Suitcase was a fitting description”.

The exhibition, which features some new works, will show at Ellenbrook Art Gallery from May 15 to June 9.

This will include an official opening at 6pm on May 17, a free artist talk from 10am to noon on May 24, and an introduction to portraiture workshop from 10am to 1pm on May 31, which can be booked by calling 0431 917 303 or emailing pandj@myplace.net.au.

This will be its second showing in WA after it was displayed at Busselton Art Geo Gallery.
