The Melbourne quartet are heading to the west coast to play four pub gigs as part of the Blue Tone Black Heart national tour.

‘We love the little, intimate gigs,’ Morgan said.

‘I think it’s just being able to feed off the crowd. They’re right there and you get to interact with them a bit more. You don’t feel so separated.

‘Sometimes on big festival stages you’re up a lot higher than everyone else.

‘We like to get hot and sweaty and get crazy with people ” it’ll be fun.’

Most commonly known for their blues and roots vibe and now their alternative rock sound, the lads have been touring their new single Blue Tone Black Heart since October.

‘People seem to really like it. It’s quite an upbeat number and good fun to play live,’ Morgan said.

The 16-date tour, including two New Zealand dates, will hit WA on January 9 with a show in Fremantle on January 11 and Scarborough on January 12.

Morgan said he was looking forward to hitting the beach while visiting the west.

‘A swim in the ocean would be fantastic, especially on the Sunday when we’re playing at Indi Bar (Scarborough),’ he said.

‘The beach is just a hop, skip and a jump from the Indi Bar so we’ll definitely probably go for a dip.’

In between tour dates, the guys have been finishing their third record.
