Madeline Hangan, Chloe Grimes, Imogen Dearlove, Summer Krysiak, Jacinta Baxter and Eve Basson are among the 70-strong cast in MSJ Productions' The Best Of Broadway.

It includes musical numbers from classic shows such as Les Miserables, Gypsy, Carousel and West Side Story, as well as newer productions Hairspray, The Producers, Matilda and Shrek The Musical.

Madeline (22) said she was very honoured to be part of such a professional show with so many talented young WA performers.

"In the show I will be playing a number of characters from a number of different musicals such as Anything Goes, West Side Story, Hairspray and Les Miserables, just to name a few," she said.

"With such a strong cast of young performers it is a show not to be missed."

Eve (14), who sings and does various dance styles, has already rehearsed for Matilda, Hairspray, 13, Les Miserables, Gypsy and 42nd Street.

"The Best Of Broadway is really fun and enjoyable and is a great opportunity for me to be part of. I am so excited for the performance evenings," she said.

Chloe (20) features in dance numbers and singing solos and Imogen (13) said she was excited to have been cast in the show.

Summer (6), who has been singing since the age of one, said she was "super excited" to have been selected to take part in the children chorus for songs from The Sound of Music, Oliver, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Jacinta (14) she was "very excited" to be given the opportunity to perform in a number of items.

"I have done three years of competitive gymnastics and have done many dance concerts, school productions and I have done catholic performing arts with my school," she said.

The show opens at 2pm the Regal Theatre on Sunday, September 13, with tickets available through ticketek.com, and at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre at 2pm on Saturday, September 19, with tickets available at manpac.com.|au.
