The launch is a dream come true for co-founders Derek Cromb and Dave Gillam, who wanted a northern venue for blues ‘n roots artists.
‘We are optimistic people will vote with their feet, get up off the couch and come out to hear great live music in a comfortable setting,’ said Derek, who hosts a blues show on community radio 89.7FM.
‘My mate, local blues identity Dave Gillam and I harboured a dream to find a suitable venue up along the northern corridor where we could put the best blues ‘n roots artists up on stage.
‘Opening night will see a massive line-up of local blues stalwarts and up and coming younger artists performing alongside house band On the Level.’
The launch is from 7pm to 11.30pm, entry free, raffle on sale.
From August 1, and continuing on the first Thursday of the month, musicians will perform from 7pm-11pm, $10 entry.
The tavern has two stage areas for live performances, meals available.
