Hamersley: play Cardigan Coast takes mature look at reality TV

MEMBERS of Endeavour Theatre Company are busy rehearsing for their first season of 2018 with an Australian-first performance.

Modern play Cardigan Coast is a comedy about reality television from Louise Bramley and director Barry Lefort.

“The world of reality TV has set its sights on the senior market as the pilot of Cardigan Coast kicks off,” president Christine Evans said.

“There are five housemates all in their twilight years but determined to show the camera they’re up for anything.

“The producers of the TV show are hoping to tap into the success of the appeal of 20-something TV shows – the difference being they are targeting a more mature audience.”

Cardigan Coast plays at Hamersley Community Recreation Centre at 8pm on May 11, 12, 18, 19 and 2.30pm on May 20.
