Presented by A lad in sane productions, it is one of three short plays written and directed by Johnny Grim which were selected by previous audiences who said they would like to see them one more time.

Profound Moments finds Annie – played by Alloway – in the pub after a dinner date has gone horribly wrong. She joins friends Dawn, Sandra and Yvonne where she can tell them about her nightmare experience.

“Annie is looking for love on the internet and yet another date has gone pear-shaped,” Alloway said. “She meets a friend in the pub to try and cheer up but there are some other crazy women who have been around the block, as well as the internet dating scene.

“The last time we did Profound Moments, every performance was so much fun and good company; it’s a hilarious play and the audience absolutely loved it.”

Joining Profound Moments is White Roses, where a man finds himself at the pub after his wife of 30 years walks out on him.

He hopes his best friend’s intimate knowledge of women can help bring her back.

Also on the bill is Stairway to Heaven, where Robbie is waiting at the ‘pearly gates’ trying to find out why he is in limbo.
