PCWC calling for submisssions for literary award

THE Peter Cowan Writers⿿ Centre (PCWC) is inviting entries for the 2015 Trudy Graham-Julie Lewis Literary Award for Prose.

The national competition has an open theme with prose writers able to submit fiction and non-fiction entries up to 2000 words each.

It honours Julie Lewis, the centre’s patron from 1995 to 2003, as well as Trudy Graham, the centre’s president from 1995 to 1997.

Entries must be unpublished works not on offer for publication before the announcement of prize winners that must not have been recognised in any other competition.

Winners will receive $400, $200 for second and $100 for third.

The Judge’s Encouragement Award for Youth supports young writers aged 12 to 18.

The competition closes July 31.
