These works, and many others by the artists, will feature at the Brief Moments of Sanity exhibition at Joondalup’s Blend(er) gallery from September 15.
Davies said themes of life, love, bereavement, aspirations, spirituality, morning tea and even kebabs inspired the paintings.
‘The reason the paintings are very different is because they both include aspects from our past that the song reminded us of and therefore they aren’t just interpretations of the music or the lyrics,’ he said.
