‘My indigenous heritage is very important to me and I am excited to be given the opportunity to support, meet and interact with a vast range of creative artists and designers from Joondalup.
‘I hope to be able to share with them some of my experiences, insights and observations.’
Urban Couture, now in its fourth year, is a series of events that coincide with the Joondalup Festival to bring high-quality fashion to the northern suburbs of Perth.
Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the City was thrilled to have secured such a high profile ambassador.
Harris will headline a free pop-up runway event at Sorrento Beach from 6pm on Saturday, March 22.
The 2014 Urban Couture program launches Thursday, March 13, at Joondalup Art Gallery.
