Such was the success of last year’s show, they have taken over hanging space at Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre until Sunday, October 27.

The women, who regard themselves as emerging artists, are exhibiting with their art teacher Gillian Roulston, fellow artist Merle Cranwell and the Artisan Trio, which works with recycled materials.

They are showing copper, acrylic, oils, glass and other mixed media.

‘The name Kinetic Colours seemed appropriate to what we are about,’ Val said.

‘We are not just creating the same kind of art but moving on and developing new styles using as many different mediums as we can find.

‘This makes a happy, colourful exhibition that uplifts people who come to see it.’

It is gold coin entry with part proceeds from sales to go to charity Manna Inc, which runs such programs as hot meals for the homeless.

Kinetic Colours opens tomorrow evening, 6.30-9pm. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am-5pm, Sundays, noon-4pm.
