800 Banksia Grove homes connected to new water main

COMPLETION of a $1.7 million project has seen 800 Banksia Grove homes connected to a new water main.

Water Corporation started construction on the 1.3km water main in May, which runs from the intersection of Dainty Lane and Woolly Road south to Brunswick Circuit and Celadon Loop.

Water Minister Dave Kelly thanked residents for their patience while the work was done in stages using trenchless technology, which meant it could tunnel under the intersection instead of digging up the road.

West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti said the upgrade would benefit Banksia Grove residents and lay the foundation for future growth.
