THE Aldi expansion continues in WA, with another store to open in Perth’s northern suburbs this week.

An Aldi store at Kingsway City Shopping Centre in Madeley is scheduled to open on August 28 at 8.30am.

Exclusive special buys to the Kingsway Aldi store launch include a microwave for $129, a bluetooth party speaker for $29.99 and a 40-inch full HD television with built-in soundbar for $249.

Aldi Kingsway will feature a number of innovations to offer an enhanced shopping experience, including better product displays, improved navigation and a modern interior store design.

WA managing director Caroline MacPhail said new features include redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays and extended energy efficient chillers.

“While we’re delighted to be introducing these innovations, we want our customers to know they won’t lead to higher prices,” she said.

“We’re excited to be opening our new store in Kingsway and look forward to showing local residents the difference ALDI can make to their wallets and lifestyles.”

The Kingsway City store will be Aldi’s 44th store in WA and will open less than a month after an Aldi store in the southern suburbs, which opened at Stockland Baldivis in July.

Other renovations of the shopping centre include refurbishment of the shops and mall opposite Woolworths, with most of the works planned for vacant land behind the mall, and the Bridgestone Tyres centre.

Works commenced in January this year and was predicted to be completed by September.

Aldi Australia contributed more than $139 million to the WA economy in 2018.
