A NEIGHBOUR has told of how she was woken by a woman’s screams coming from the Alexander Heights home where a young man is believed to have been fatally stabbed overnight.

The killer remains at large.

Officers were called to a Linto Way property about 1.30am to find a man critically injured.

He later died in Royal Perth Hospital.

The neighbour, who did not want to be named, expressed her shock to ABC News.

“It sounded like (the victim’s girlfriend) was notified that her partner had passed away and you could just hear the crying,” she said.

“(I’m) absolutely shocked that it could happen, my heart goes out to the family.”

Officers wish to speak with anyone who was in the area between 1am and 2am or heard a disturbance on the street.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report it online.
