STROKE survivor Fraser Griggs has completed a 300km trek across England, raising more than $50,000 in the process.

As reported in the Weekender on February 25, the Alexander Heights resident suffered a stroke in 2014 but was determined to mark his recovery by completing a lifetime ambition – the Coast to Coast walk.

He and 11 friends spent 14 days trekking England’s width, achieving what doctors once thought would be impossible for him to do.

“It was very tough and it took a huge team effort to complete it,” he said.
