Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins is flying in for the event and is hosting one of several fashion parades and signing autographs afterwards.

There will be an array of in-store activities and giveaways, including popcorn and fairy floss, storytelling and cupcake demonstrations for children.

Santa, Lalaloopsy and other children’s characters will make an appearance and there will be performances by a barbershop and string quartets.

The store will also hold, product demonstrations, arcade games in the menswear department and a DJ spinning tunes in the Miss Shop.

The store has 12,000sqm across two floors, with the ground level dedicated to women.

The first floor, which can be accessed via the car park, has men’s clothing and accessories, electrical goods, a large toy department, children’s clothing, stationery and the Christmas Giftorium.

Ms Roberts, who has worked at Myer for 34 years, said staff had spent the past three weeks stocking the store and more than 30 visual merchandise team members were doing the finishing touches, with completion expected tomorrow afternoon.

‘It’s all in the planning; having a good team behind you is the key to being successful,’ she said.
