Essence: the celebration of inner passion features up to 10 pieces from each artist including pastels on paper, acrylics, oils and watercolours.

Exhibitors include group founder Alessandra Del Basso, of Clarkson, and fellow locals Ernie Feldmann and Eliane Koenig (Jindalee), Annalisa Tonone Pettitt (Banksia Grove) and Trudi Nell (Craigie).

Ms Del Basso, who spent 30 years in Italy, said art was their ‘essence.’

‘As artists we create from a space of emotion and every brush stroke embraces our soul,’ she said of the group’s first exhibition.

The art lover created the Facebook group, Emerging Creative Souls in February and has 138 members from as far away as the UK, Italy, France and Sweden.

‘We have put a diverse group together who are very like minded,’ she said.

‘We post information about art awards and exhibitions, contact each other and find out what others are doing.

‘There is another exhibition in November and I will take a group to Italy next year.’

The exhibition at Kidogo Art House in Mews Road will open daily, 11am-5pm. Opening night is Friday, July 18, 6-8pm.
