WANNEROO’S free outdoor cinema, Live in the Amphitheatre, returns next month, kicking off with some festive, family favourites under the stars.
This year marks the first time the City of Wanneroo screens movies in December, bringing some Christmas cheer to the Jacaranda Amphitheatre.
December’s movie offerings include Love Actually, Home Alone, Polar Express and Elf.
The City is encouraging filmgoers to don Christmas outfits and bring picnics, with the summer cinema series continuing throughout January and February.
January’s program includes The Big Sick, Kingsman: Secret Service and children’s favourites Trolls and Despicable Me 3.
Gates open from 6pm with screenings starting when the sun sets, about 7.30pm.
Pre-show activities at some screenings will include live music and face painting, and there will be an onsite food vendor.
December movie tickets will be available exclusively to the City’s residents and ratepayers from 9am on Monday, November 27.
Tickets for January’s movie line-up will be released to residents and ratepayers from 9am on Monday, December 11.
All screenings are free, but tickets and photo ID are required. There will be a maximum of four adult tickets per household.
