Art to uplift shoppers

The Jharna-Kala exhibition features paintings and drawings dedicated to peace by the late artist, who believed creative pursuits spread harmony and friendship.

Sri Chinmoy, who died in 2007, played more than 20 musical instruments, composed thousands of poems on the human spirit and wrote more than 1000 books.

Interspersed with the artwork are comments from humanitarian leaders including Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev and Desmond Tutu. The show ends on July 13.he
