Artists Kara Kachinski (Mt Lawley), Alison Cunningham (Beldon), Josephine Douglas (Tapping) and Maria Bowers (Heathridge) met at university painting classes and art groups and are exhibiting together for the first time.

Their show, Colour my World, featuring 50-plus paintings in all styles and mediums, will be in The Gallery upstairs at the cultural centre until September 14.

‘We all work with many different mediums,’ Kachinski said.

‘I paint in oils and acrylics and select different fabrics to use in my artwork, Maria paints with oils, Josephine mainly uses pastels and Alison mostly acrylics.
