The not-for-profit organisation established itself in the mid 1970s and later merged with the Whitfords Art Group.

‘There will be over 200 paintings on show, plus the chance to win a pastel painting by Graham Dowley valued at $550.’

Mr Dowley’s love of painting has run in the family for many years, dating back to 1841 to artist Charles Dowley.

Throughout his retirement, Graham has been able to devote more time to his art.

‘Like many WA artists, I love our coastal scenery and the rich colours of inland gorges and rivers,’ he said.

The exhibition will be held at the Sorrento Surf Lifesaving Club on May 24 and 25.

Opening night will be on May 23 at 7pm.
