Banksia Grove man charged over $140,000 online fraud

A BANKSIA Grove man has been charged as part of an investigation into the online purchase of more than $140,000 of goods bought with stolen credit card information.

Police are looking into the possibility of others involved.

Investigators raided the accused’s home on January 8, alleging he was in possession of unlawfully obtained drones, computer tablets, mobile phone and gift cards.

Officers further allege he was possessing drugs.

Police were tipped off by information received from the Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network.

They are investigating about 100 sale orders.

The 39-year-old man was charged with 10 stolen property offences, methamphetamine possession, possession of a cannabis plant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is due in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Feburary 5.
