FAMILIES scoured a Banksia Grove park last weekend for hidden rocks.

Resident Natalie Gray organised the name rock day at Discovery Park, where volunteers painted then hid 150 stones with children’s names on them for them to find.

She said nearly 120 people attended and was pleased with the turnout.

“It was so lovely to see all the joy on the kids’ faces as they searched for and found their personalised rocks,” she said.

“I think it really brought our beautiful community together and brought smiles to a lot of our faces.”

Ms Gray collected donations for Telethon on behalf of the NOR Rocks group, which she plans to present to the charity at its annual appeal in October.

She hopes to hold another event in the next few months, which will be advertised on the NOR Rocks Facebook page.
