Banksia Grove: Pinjar Road connection to Flynn Drive opens

BANKSIA Grove residents have direct access to Flynn Drive with the opening of the Pinjar Road extension today.

A City of Wanneroo spokeswoman said contractors were removing barricading and signage this afternoon and had advised the road would be open from this evening.

Construction started in early 2018 and was originally due to finish mid-year.

According to Main Roads WA, work nearby to widen Wanneroo Road between Joondalup Drive and Flynn Drive is expected to finish in early 2019.

CPB Contractors is also due to start construction of the Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive interchange this month.The $50 million project is expected to take 18 months to complete.

Main Roads expects to award a contract for the Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road interchange later this year, with construction to start in 2019.
